We Listen, And Advise

Someone from our team will always be availble

Call Us

Speak with the barrister

Receive Legal Advice

Your call will either be directed to one of our barristers or to our practice managers, who will arrange for one of our barristers to give you a call back, normally within a few minutes. During the initial telephone advice, the barrister will take instructions from you and advise on the next steps you can take and the likelihood of success in defending your case based on the nature of your case and your personal circumstances. The initial barrister’s advice is free of charge.

After knowing your options

Receive Quotes and Terms of Service

Our practice manager will provide you with a quotation for your case, which is likely to be a fixed fee per stage / piece of work, based on the advice from the barrister. The quotation will be in line with our transparent pricing, which can be found on our pricing information.

After terms agreed and settlement of fees

Drafting Defence / Negotiating with Prosecution

Depending on the nature of the offence, the barrister will settle a statement and/or other documents for you to defend your case, or negotiate with the prosecution for the settlement of the matter / a lesser sentence. Our aim is always to settle the matter within the client’s reasonable expectations, at the minimum time and cost possible.

If the matter is not settled

Further Preparation for the Hearing

If the matter proceeds to a hearing, the barrister will conduct relevant preparation for the hearing to ensure all relevant evidence in your favour is presented to the Court in the best form.

Presentation in Court

Attending the Hearing

Depending on the nature of your case, what you wish to achieve and the likelihood of success, your barrister will attend the Court with the view to mitigating, arguing for the lesser sentence based on your personal circumstances, or fully defending your case.

After the hearing

Settlement of your matter / Appeal

After the hearing, your matter will likely be concluded at this point. In case you are not happy with the outcome, our barrister will advise on the likelihood of success in challenging the decision by way of an Appeal. Subject to agreement on fees, the same or a different barrister will be able to assist you in further appealing the matter.

If you are not happy with the decision in Court, having been represented by a different firm, you are encouraged to give us a call and speak to one of our barristers to advise you on the Appeal.
